Default BETTER DUNE QUAD

Is the 06 yfz 450 better then the 06 raptor 700r on the dunes? Just strictly dunes. WHich one has the better all around performance at the dunes?

Well....i dont drag race so i would rather have the big torque of the 700 rather than the high strung 450 for dune riding.

I don't know if I would say better, different but not so much better, it just depends on your size, weight, riding style and personal prefrance, but for me the 700R is a lot more comfortable and the power delivery is much more even and smooth. You can just cruise or putt or get it on. I can go anywhere I want and climb out of anything I dive off in with my 700R and hang right with modded 450's now that I've modded mine. I like the 450's a lot and hop on my buddies and ride it anytime I get the chance because the power reminds me more of a 2 stroke which is fun but I like the comfort and the torque of the 700R for all around duning. The 700R stock IMHO is lacking in power though, but once modded with a filter ,pipe and controller I think it's a great dune machine. That's what I have mine set up for and that's all I use it for, I know I wouldn't trade mine for anything that's out right now. I'd like to have both and some day may, but if it came down to one or the other I would still choose the 700R for myself.
