Default Tri-Moto 175 piston

A friend of mine was driving my 175 2 stroke on memorial day weekend, it was about 90 degrees out. He was driving in 1st gear because he didnt know how to shift it, and he had the thing wound out really high.
well, when i went to ride it it had no compression and I barely got it running, after i got it running, it had a lot of piston slap.

took the piston out, and the rings and piston are all worn out. the top ring overlapped the peg that keeps the ring from turning, and the edge of the ring caught on the edge of a port and squished it into the aluminum. Thats where my compression went. It looks like an oil problem that made it go bad. The piston has only been in the machine for about 2 years or so, I rebuilt and hardly drove it since. It was a wiseco piston kit, but it just looks like it had no lubrication, the cylinder is fine has a few scratches but measures out at 66.50 mm which is what I had it bored to the first time.

Now here comes the strange part....I've been running Amsoil since I put it together the first time, and the oil injection is turned all the way on (yes the pump still works)

just wondering if there are better oils out there, and what some other people run. I know it's an old pile, but I want to keep it running for the other guys that dont have machines to ride yet so we dont have to leave them at camp when we want to ride.
