I finally got to take my new yfz 450 out to a mx track and i found out that when coming out of a turn in 2nd gear, my bike hesitates for a second and then wants to take off. I don't know how a brand new bike has that much lag in acceleration. It seems to only do it in 2nd and 3rd gear when you get on it. Anyone that might be able to give me some suggestions on parts or brands of parts that will help me correct this problem, i would greatly appreciate it.

 

My buddies 450 did the same thing. Come to find out he got the one that was sitting in the showroom so it had been sitting for awhile. The ones outside would get started and ran in and out every day. He took it back and they put new jets in it and cleaned it out real good and it runs great now.

 

My bike was sitting in a crate with dust all over it. i had to help the people put it together. so that sounds like it would be a good explanation for why its acting up.

 

Ya clean the carb real good and see. His had the same hesitation then also didnt want to idle very well. He was kinda pi$$ed off so they put a new needle and jets in and it runs fine now.

 

my new 06 kodiak 450. suddenly accelerated . like a ghost had pressed it. i had just made a right turn. not sure if this had anything to do with it. is this what your's did?

 

my '07 yfz450 does the same thing too. i thought it was just me, but guess not.
