Default Replacing chain ect. on Warrior

Hey guy's I've never really renched much on my warrior thus far but it's time for a new chain and the teeth on my front spindle are broke off so i guess i got to get two new spindles or whatever there called... I was wondering do i just get like actermarket factory replacements or should i run a diffrent ration... Right now i havent done anything to it... but i plan on getting Possibly a HMF and jetting it. And im most likly going to stick with a 21-22inch tall rear tire cuz i thank that has a little to do with it... IF there's anything you guys have to say that could possibly lead me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it....

Thanks a bunch guys

Dustin

bend the tabs down(front and back sprockets, don't break or throw away, reuse) i went to www.denniskirk.com for all of my parts.. i got a sunstar 13 tooth front sprocket and a 40 tooth rear( don't rememeber brand) and a 520 100link chain(98 is required for warriors) i think i spent about $70... be sure to put your front sprocket on with an impact wrench ..

Sounds like a good deal to me, the x-ring chain will last forever as long as you oil it.

Are you sure you want a "hole kit" and not a kit that just includes everything?

Anyhow here are some ideas for you.

First take a couple minutes and do a search for warrior chains or warrior sprockets (what those "spindles are called) or even changing a chain etc and see what kind of really good info you find. Normally when searching a forum you also find all kinds of other cool stuff about your machine that you were not even thinking about so its worth the time, and as an added benefit you will most likely learn what some of the parts are called.

The warrior has an issue with being geared low, and though its a great thing for slow speed rock crawling and other slow technical stuff switching to slightly higher gearing will create a better overall speed range thru the full six speeds.

Look around and you will see its normal for an owner to drop a tooth or too in the rear or add one in the front to achieve the ratio change, and if you decide to run a 20" rear tire you really want to change the ratio. The engine makes more torque than hp anyhow so it has the power to turn the higher gearing, and it will also benefit the speeds thru the higher gears too (including a higher top speed).

One thing to keep in mind also is that the pipe your considering is not only way too loud (without any quit cores or whatever) but it also seems to favor the higher rpm power over the lower end that the warriros 350 likes to make more of so be carefull of what pipe you chose and try and consider something that is adjustable in the outlet size (disc type like the WB or Megamx etc) so that you can tune it to match the area that you need more power in for your riding style etc.

Plus since the warrior isnt the fastest quad out there it just seems silly when its the loudest, but thats your choice.

There is a bunch of other stuff (most inexpensive) that you can do to it that will make it safer, perform better, and handle better as well as just feel better etc, and most of it is listed on here already so dont forget that search.

Lastly I remember an old print out I have from the web that listed several pages of things to change to make the warrior better, and if I find it I will post a link.

Good luck and dont break off those tabs either

The HMF doesn't focus the power gain up top, it's a low end exhaust. Their dyno sheets claim 5 hp low, 2 hp mid, and 2 hp top. I think the HMF is a great exhaust for the warrior, but without a quiet core it is really loud. If you have neighbors you should at least get a quiet core.

To be fair I was not knowing about those lower end numbers, and most likely just borrowed the ones I know for other models etc, and the fact that for how many engines are designed they (and many others too) were just too free flowing for the bottom end torque etc. If that is wrong it would be much better for everyone than my being right lol.

I guess we do agree on the quiet core, and I know loud exhausts are hurting our sport all over the place and getting areas closed down, and causing neighbors to be calling the cops all the time.

There is even a rider down the street who has an older (looking anyway) warrior that he rides to an area close by, but has to go past many houses on the way, and between the overly loud exhaust (louder than my modded engine) his strange need to blip the throttle constantly its not making him any friends, and may also very well be one of the reasons for all the barriers being put up around my local spot.

Plus he just looks silly making all that noise and going absolutely noware fast
