Between a 96 stock warrior except for k&n filter and a 98 a 300ex stock except cobra pipe what would be faster top end? More low end power? If you hooked up back to back would the warrior out pull the 300ex? All my friends say the warrior should beat the 300ex. Also which would make the better MX race machine stock or modified? (warrior just had just recently had its carb cleaned out and oil changed)

I am a yamaha man but gotta tell you that the 300ex is faster, better handling and easily a better quad. How many modded and raced warriors have u seen?

I think the Warrior is equally as good of a machine, but as far as MXing goes, the 300ex would be a better choice. The Warrior is a little bit faster than a 300ex, but MX isn't about top end speed or long smooth straights.

in a drag race the warrior will beat the 300ex

I'm sure that in a woods race, or MX Race..equal riders the 300ex will win.

They just handle too good.

The Warrior will out drag and out pull the 300EX. Think about it, 349cc's vs. 282cc's....its obvious the Warrior has more power. On the other hand the 300EX does have a better chassis and suspensions set up, therefore it has better handling.

The warrior is faster cause of its 6th gear, and ex has that legendary honda bottom end that is gear low. I have a 96 warrior and my best friend has a 2001 ex. I dropped to a 12 tooth front sprocket and we still run side by side. but now i have him on the bottom end. a ex is a very light bike. so it does handle plus the suspension is good. on the other hand warriors factory shocks suck but if you get some works and drop to a 12 tooth for the MX track then it will do fine. then you have more power and better suspension than the ex. I have to say on the track woods whatever i love my warrior.

I have a 97 300ex and a 96 warrior. The 300ex is faster on top end!My warrior was fast but still not as fast as my 300.As far as mx goes.I used to have a small track setup and me on my warrior and my freind on the 300 The warrior would win.But the 300ex is definitly the better mx machine.Just the other ridder wasn't as good!My 300 is faster than the warrior even with the 20 inch back tires on it!Out of all my qauds the warrior is slowest. It is also broke!
