Default raptor exaust fitting around FCR carbs??

Im having trouble with my yoshimira head pipe clearing the FCR carbs they hit the carb bowl. I can force it to fit but there is a lot presure on the carbs. Does there need to be a space between the carb and the pipe if so how big?? I might have to buy new exsaust is so what kind makes the pipe on the outside of the frame, my yoshi pipe weves through the inside of the frame thats where I ran in the prouble with the clearance. Any help will great.

I don't know of a pipe that runs outside of the frame, other than maybe a specialized drag pipe or something. I have had no problems with my original Big Gun pipe, or my new LRD Pro4 pipe, but I am also still using the stock carbs. sounds like a predicament. are you sure everything is lining up and in place where it should be? did you change your intake manifolds at all?

yes every thing is lined up right the carbs are probably 30-40% bigger than the stock carbs and the intakes are the stock boots that have been port matched for the carbs.

There are quite a few topics dealing with clearance of the fcr carbs on the yoshi and other pipes. I know a washer/spacer is involved but I cant remember exactly what needs to be done. A search should turn up the information you seek.

And raptor149, aside from the half dozen header only drag pipes out there, the barkers are also out of the frame pipes. And they aren't drag only, I trail ride with mine on a routine basis.

I wear jeans and the only time I've ever gotten warm is if I'm wearing short socks and tennis shoes and the jeans ride up a little.

And the bike has dual spark arrestor quiet cores so it's as safe as any other and legal. Not sure if it's 94db legal, but I've had it running with DNR and Forestry within speaking distance and they've never asked to test it.
