06 Raptor 350 smokes a lil during gear change
As the title states the rappy will blow a lil smoke after being run for a bit. Now I did have a K&N on it at this point. So I take it to the dealer with the stock filter back on it, and they do a compression test, a leakdown tests and changed the oil and tell me that everything came back normal, but the clutch smelled bad, they said they took care of that with the oil change, and that it was due to me running it too hard! I guess what I want to know is the filter a possible cause for this? and if so what would that have to do with the clutch?

unless you were running it in extremly dusty conditions for hours then my guess is your engine is not broke in quite yet. Dont baby it, it needs to be run at high rpms to seat those rings. I bet your ok and with time it will go away. If not you did the right thing and brought it to the dealer and it's now on record if it does not go away.
BUT, soon there will be people on here tell'in you that your K&N filter is the cause. Was it installed correctly? Did it seal good? Do you run it with an outerwear? I do,and have no problems yet. Good luck.

hoestly it was about an hour and a half of riding, and it was dusty. But I can assure you it was sealed properly, and I was not running the outer wear. The bike had the 10 hour service done the week prior and this was after that, I was running her a bit that day, in fact we rode a hundred miles in 2 days. I sure hope that broke her in. I just hate having something i only made a couple payments on act up. It never lost power just puffed blue smoke and smelled bad. I now have the factory filter on it and am going to run it like that for a while and see what happens.
