No one should be dissapointed. Yamaha is smart. They will release a bigger bore. I was really hoping they kept the 660 in their line-up. Its a bullet proof and very proven engine, and they got 'rid of it in the sport section so i was really hoping they would keep it in the utility section, and since they did, im happy! BUT they need to hurry up and tell us what they are coming out with, and Polaris too.

I believe it, that there is still 660's in 2007, but it just doesn't make sense. Keep the 660 is a great idea cause it's still a great selling quad and bulletproof, but, why the raptor 700? it seems very obvious that it would be an efi grizz 700, but keep a 660 and then have a 686 efi? b/c i was told by our yamaha rep only one new model, so if they keep the 660, it only makes sense the new model is a 700, even though i hope to god it's not, b/c i think a 700 ain't gonna be alot better than a 660, there so close? any thoughts?

well good morning every one. i only post at work so i see it was interesting on here after 5 yesterday. i am glad to here someout there beleive. i posted on this subject before a week or so ago when i got the 2007 grizzlys. no one seemed to care then so why the big deal now? ...........unless you have the facts correct you should not open up your mouth and flap your lips wildly as some have done. here is a partial ser no for you non believers and a model no YFM66FGWL SER NO JY4AM03Y07CXXXXXX i dleted the last six digits for security reasons these are blue units as you can see the 10th digit is a 7 that means an 07 model.

Well, if I were to believe everything posted in the forums, without proof, then you should have a few stock blasters that will do 60 with two gears left to go, on the sales floor too.
Still, pics would be more believable.
Ever try to trace a partial serial number?
(understand completely why you gave partial though)

Just to add a little fuel to the fire, came across the following blog. Not sure how to make it an actual link, so cut and paste is the best I can give you.

Just because a 07 grizzly is out with no changes doesnt mean there cant be a new model.
1) They could keep the 660 in the line up as a addition (I doubt this if its just goes to a 700 but maybe if we see a 800)
2) The new model may not be available for awhile so they slapped 07 on some grizzlies to keep sales up. If you remember there is a 04 yamaha warrior and a 04 Raptor 350 so this is possible.
3) Maybe there will be no changes, there is always next year lol
