To the guy who said he hoped they don't call another new quad a "Raptor" congratulations, you got your wish. Instead they renamed 90% of the Utility line to "Grizzly"

I can't believe I stayed up for this!

Oh well, I may be disappointed but I know who isn't - Suzuki. There is nothing on the market now to eat into Z250 sales at all.

To be fair, I do like the new Big Bear IRS 400 with the semi-manual trans. Give me one of those, only give it sportier plastic. While you're at it, you can keep the IRS and give me a straight axle. Also, lighten it up a little. Now call it something else...how about calling it a ...."Wolverine". Yeah - that's it. Better yet, call it "What the 2006 Wolverine redesign should've been".

Nah....too wordy.

lol. as far as atvs (not counting side x sides right now )- yep they know 5 names now
(6 if you count rhino):

the 6 raptors (3 700 editions and the 350, 80, 50), the 3 450 YFZs (bill balance, se, regular), the 2 wolverines and the 3 big bears, and a whopping 12 grizzlys!

what was wrong with kodiak? and i thought a polar bear was coming out (maybe in sept or next yr??)

at least they didnt call everything a raptor!

Up here in Canada we didn't get everything named the grizzly we got another kodiak, the kodiak 350 with IRS, in addition to the straight axle bruin, we didn't get the GYTR Raptor, which sux, but I know you US 2 stroke lovers will hate this, we have a 2007 banshee and blaster, in red which looks sweet. O, and for getting your hopes up on this second release date for a new blaster or a 800 twin of something, don't hold your breath, the october release is primaraly for the sport bikes only, so i doubt we'll see any new quads, just some new colors and more SE models maybe? even though i wanted a twin, im satisfied with the 700 EFI, i wonder how it handles with that power steering and such. looks good. love the special edition YFZ and the gray editions with red frame, as well as sport edition rhino, looks great, well done yamaha, coulda been better, but i expected less than what you gave us for 2007 so i'm pleasently surprised.

I noted the continued existance of the Banshee and Blaster for 2k7 on the Canadian site as well. I checked the US site first to see what the changes were only to find what someone else had already pointed out ... no replacement for the Banshee and Blaster, and a renaming of 90% of the utility lineup to "Grizzly" pffft ... same they did with the sport lineup. So now, bascially all Yamaha sells is Grizzly's, Raptors, and a couple of other quads ...

I did note though that the 700 grizz got power steering ???

Actually it's all Canadians, not just the hockey players from Montreal (Canadiens)

Just poking there .. I was shocked myself on that count. First to see that there was nothing replacing either in the US lineup, and THEN to see them on the Yamaha Canada site, still in production for 2007. I guess the emmissions controls in Canada haven't clamped down on the production of 2-strokes yet .. ??
