Could anyone tell me how important the size of the pilot jet is? When I piped my '99 Banshee the mechanic at my dealer told me that the pilots don't really matter, so I only changed the mains. Now that it is cold, it doesn't want to start. It will rev up fine, but it won't idle no matter how long I warm it up. Can the pilots cause this? Thanks.

The pilot jets and idle mixture screw controls the idle speed. You will probably want to go richer with the new pipes. Weather conditions will also have an effect.
