ok so so we want 2 make a raptor draggster were going to start with a 700r. in will be in the dunes what are the best mods. know most of the ppl i know are at the drags lol but yeah thanks for the help

 

btw its me and my dad since he needs a new machine for hte dunes and im getting a yfz for racing and i can put paddles on it for weekends off. but we know like paddles and stuff but like the best motor mods and things thanks were new to rappys lol

 

first off you need a full race exhaust then prolly a reflashed ecu or a different mapping for your oem ecu....i know yoshi makes one that is supposedly really good called the cherry bomb....I would say that these things should be your first mods and then as far as bore and other engine mods, i will leave that to the pros on this board! How fast you wanna go? I started off with an intake while removing the lid off the box, a full exhaust, and a Dynojet programmer. It made a noticeable difference and has great torque, but I want more.

There are 2 ways to go about making more power and spending cash. You could open up the motor, put in a high compression piston, bore the cylinder, port the head, and do a cam.

Im building a turbo system for mine in a couple weekends. Im a welder\fabricator for a living, so it makes sense to me from the prespective of saving a ton of money.

 

the cherry bomb only works on the LTR-450. to start off, an intake, pipe of your choice (they are all very close but the hmf and lte duals are very popular) and a power commander will make a very noticable increase in power (should get you to 48-52hp at the wheels). after that you can add a 734kit from trinity and a set of web cams. most are happy with just the pipe, intake and controller for power. i thought the rappy needed a little help up front in the suspendion department so i added a set of 06 yfz shocks and they work great.

 

Fuzzy is right about the Yosh Cherry Bomb, they do not make one for the 700.

FYI, the 700 has one cam, not a set. SOHC.
