yeah if your running a air box it should slid right in there.. And yes a K&N will help you out.. More air in and more air out makes HP

wait till you are ready to upgrade the exhaust and get the airbox adapter plate and filter for that setup

i wouldnt waste any money on a drop in for the stock setup

The K&N stock air filter replacement is a piece of junk. It leaks more dirty air past the gasket than the original. If you ride in dusty conditions do yourself a favor and buy the flange and filter kit.

yes Kand N drop in filters should be taken off the market they are total junk and no matter how much seal greas you applie to the face of the filter so as to not allow dirt and sand and dust to pass by , it dont work the only thing that works is the greas grabs a bunch of the large particles but the dust and smaller bits go right on through pissed me off greatly after one ride at the dunes in eureka califonia it failed i give Kand N drop in a BIG FAT F went bakc to the stock filter and yes i felt a very slight differnce in performance i will be geting the prowflow kit with the flange moyunt and allumin hook up any ways happy ridding and another subject any body ever loosen the axel nuts on a 660 i did just alittle bit gots to tighten them up allright happy riding every body
