hey I am new to this forum and i was just thinking about buying a 2001 660r raptor and i was wondering if i should buy it cause i dont realy know anything about it so if you can help me pleaze write back

what condition? how many owners? what mods? provide more details and I'm sure more people will help you. Check the blue book for a general price range.

 

it is in good conditon the guy realy didnt ride it to much and it is stock to the bone, i would be getting it around 2,500 $

 

that sounds like a pretty good deal. One question if this is your first quad, you know raptors have alot of power and arent the best beginner quads. if you are a beginner you might want to think aobut a warrior cause they are still good but not overly powerful.

no im not a begginner ive riden at pismo beach alot and at my local track with my uncles quad but now i want one of my own so thats why im trying to buy this one.

ohhh i didnt know that well if the 01 istn the best chouse then what do you think is the best chouse but for a resenably price?

 

a few mounths ago i got a 04 raptor 660...it was my first quad and before that i realy hadnt drivin any before that but after you get use to it its a great machine... but if u get a raptor just make shure u dont get on it thinking you know what your doing cuz my friend tryed that (he's been riding dirtbikes, quads and snowmobiles for a long time now) and he put it in a huge wheely by accident fell off the back and rammed it into a Jeep... my quad was messed but somehow there wasnt a mark on the jeep lol....anyway getting a raptor is a good choose.

 

get an 02 or newer, there was stock raptors on ebay that go for a very reasonable price, check it out

 

ive seen modded 02s go for $2025, piped and ready to go, just something for you to think about before buying an 01
