i heard the first change should be with strictly petrolium, then after that you can run what ever you please and i will change the oil for the send time soon. when are you guys getting your valves adjusted for the 700r. I rode spectro 4 stroke 10w-40 in my kfx400, worked ok. what do you run, spocket changes for the 700r

I have had my 700 for about 10 months and have about 3000 - 3500KM on it. That is about 2000 miles for you Americans [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] and my chain is stuffed and the front sprocket is just about to start snapping teeth.

 

Amsoil is, IMO, the best most protective oil you can get. Ive used it for years. My fourtrax is 13+ yrs old, and runs without missing a beat.

The best in my opinion but thats just my opinion. Thats what i use in my kfx its 10w-50 and I can get two oil changes out of the big jug.

 

Castrol GTX 20W50, and I have been using it for 4 years. My raptor motor is abused like crazy, it's always in the high 90's during our desert races and I am giving it hell for 2 hours straight. I dont realy think it matters too much what you use as long as you change it often!!

I change mine after every 2 days of doing down the drag hard...Couse in kinda a way im like you...i may make 10 passes in a day.. but them 10 passed im bounching her off the rev limiter...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
