Default Grizz, AC700, or BF650i

I'm in the market to buy an atv. I plan on using it for hunting and mud riding. Which ever one I get I'm goning to put 27" mudlite XTR's on 14" type 7. I have narrowed it down to 3 bikes the 660 Grizz, AC 700, and BF650i. If anyone has had experience with these bikes I would appreciate any feedback. At this point I am leaning towards the Grizz. Also if anyone from the LA area and know of a place giving good deals on some of these bikes what kind of price and where.

Seems the yammi would handle the large tire better without snapping tierods like the brute....I'd get Yammi

Do a search for "grizz wheelie" And i think theres a vid floating around on the thread of how the huge tires work on the griz. The vid looks good and the quad seems to handle them fine.

The bf had plenty of power, but I didn't like the way the suspension gives you a real tipsy feel. I'm also not much for the "trigger style" dif-lock.

The artic kitty is also a really nice quad. It has great ground clearance, and plenty of power. The suspension is stiff, which is good if you like to jump it around a bit... The down side is that because it sits so high w/ bigger tires (27" 589's is what I'm use to riding on it) that it feels extra tipsy when climbing hills or traversing rocky ravines and such. Also, the drain for the belt housing is in a horrible location, and sits about an inch higher than the bottom of the housing, so it doesn't drain the water well...

I really enjoy the grizzly, and will be picking up my 07 as soon as it hits the dealership down here. The suspension on the new griz is suppose to be much better than the earlier models, but I still really like the 02 - 06 model suspension. It's like riding a cadillac. The power is abundant, the reverse rev-limiter override mod is extremely simple, and the belt housing has an easy access drain plug, if you happen to get water in it. I've run several types of larger tires on the grizzly, and they all seem to work well. (currently the 589's are my favorite.) I feel 10 times more comfortable climbing hills, and traversing uneven terrain on grizz than I do on either of the BF or AC...

If it were me, I'd go with the Grizzly or the AC...

I currently own 2 grizzly's and love them both... Keep in mind, the power steering on the new 07 grizzly, will greatly help out when trying haul a big deer otta the woods, especially if you need to be in differential lock...

I felt uneasy on my Cat at first also on uneven terrain, but i got used to the fact thet it wasnt really any tippier than anyone elses. Cat put its gastank low and in the back, which really helps with the top heavyness. They also widened the stance of the quad a little, to compensate for the height. My buddies sp700 tipped on its side before mine did on a broken up tar field. Once you get used to it you would feel just as comfortable. At any rate, the Grizz or the Cat would be my choice

What size winch would you recommend. I have a friend with a BF750 with a 2500 warn and wishes he would have got a 3000.

The 2500 usually does just fine... Of course, my warn winch hasn't worked right, brand new out of the box, and I'm extremly disappointed... (When I try to wind it in w/ weight on it, it starts to wind, and then just stops and makes a higher pitched noise... )

Hi,

I just went through the same situation. I was thinking about the same 3 atv's. I bought the 2006 Grizz after looking at them all. I did not want to deal with a lot of belt problems.
