Warrior ticking noise
#1
I have a 1989 warrior with a 2000 engine on it, FMF slipon, and now a K&N filter, even before the filter was put on my engine has this ticking noise, i thought that it was the valves, so i checked and set them right, but the noise continues, it isnt really loud, and when reved, the noise isnt as bad, ive heard that many warriors do this, and i was hoping that its just a warrior noise, b/c i want to put a edelbrock carb on it and a FMF powerbomb header, but i dont want to put that power to the engine and have it blow. What do u suggest i do??

They tend to tick a bit. It should not sound like a knocking or slapping sound though. What did you set the valves to? Also, open up the side cover for the cam and check for any slack in the timing chain.
