What is everybody running for jet size in this miserable heat? Right now I have in a 190 but my quad feels really doggy on the big end. It doesn't pop or anything but just feels slow.

I haven't started any off my quads since it has gotten hot. You probably should try a 185 to lean it out. As it gets hotter the air is less dense so you get less air in your fuel air mix. They make a jetting chart so you can find what jet you need for temp and altitude. I can find one if you want. If its sluggish in the mid range you might raise the clip on the needle.

Stock carb? I would say you need to bump up the main.

Hey boomer2,
Where can I get one of those charts? In my jet kit I already moved the needle up in the clip. Do you think that moving it up again would do anything else or should I not mess with it since it's already moved?

Are you running a stock carb or a keihin? There's a jet chart in the clymer manual for the stock carb, If you have a stock carb I will try to get it to you

If you are running a stock carb you are LEAN.Should have bumped the main up some for the pipe and the filter. Before I had my son's blaster ported.I ran a 230 main, clip in the middle with just a pipe ,filter and a ported reed cage. After porting I ran 260 main with a couple of added vents in the airbox.

Hey guys i was reading and am having a problem with my carb i believe its lean...my quad seems to run fine when riding then when I shut off my quad it backfires...I have an alba full system with a stage 3 and K&n filter(no airbox lid). I tried turning my pilot jet and all that did was make it backfire at low rpm's...Should I get a new pilot jet or should I try messing with the main jet...Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. I also forgot to mention that my spark plugs have a white tip on them but black on the porcelin.

Kevhed a 1990 or newer Blaster should have 230 main jet. Check the plug to see if your jettings good. You might try a 235 main jet and dropping the clip on the needle one position. Check out some of the Blaster specific websites for more detailed info on jetting blasters. There are links to them on the links page off my website.

Bombrider04 is the stage 3 kit the a jet kit. Doesn't it have jetting instructions for the mods you have. You might have a airleak. you might check to see if you the carb back together right, got it back on right, and got air filter on right. When you adjusted the air screw which way did you go . You go clockwise to richen.
