Warrior vs. Z400
#1
I know, old technology vs. new, but I have been looking at a Z400 lately...
Thinking about selling one of my Warriors and trying the Z400...
I would like to hear the pros and cons of both....
Here is what I really like about my Warriors...They will go anywhere in the
trails, hills, dunes, etc. I wanna go...Fast enough for me....
It sits relatively low(doesn't feel tippy at all, like my buddies Raptor 660)...
Here's what I don't like about my Warrior...
Ride is fairly rough...I can pull wheelies, but not easily or for very long....
Probably just itching to try something diff. and the Z400 I am looking is fairly
modded (exhaust, tires, nerf bars, alum. wheels, shock covers, filter, etc.)...
In your honest opinions do you think I would be happy with a Z400 as far as it
being ALOT different from my Warrior or are the differences fairly small overall...
Just give me your two cents....Thanks
Both bikes are the same year....My Warrior has about the same mods as Z400.....

wheelies take time, patients, and skill..
not sometihng you can straight up learn in a day...
i was looking into getting a z400... it's prolly one of the best all around sport quads out there... just makesure you know what you're getting into with a z400...

I have both, and although I still like my warrior, the Z400 is much better in every aspect of 4 wheeling. I have only rode the warrior 1 time since I got my z, and that was when it was getting the clutch cover replaced.

all together man the z400 is a better bike.. its about 5 mph faster.. alot quicker though.. and it just handles a lil bit better and is better on track.. warriors are nice though i've rode them they top about 61 - 64 mph.. the z400 gets around 66 - 68 though..

I owned a Warrior prior to my z400 and it's night and day.
The z400 will do everything the Warrior will do only much better......
In the tight woods, or blazing trails in thick woods, the Warrior likes to bumble long at low RPMs better than the z400 however. And the Warrior's extra weight is nicer for plowing down small trees and brush........
The z400 likes to rev, it likes to air out and shines in the mid-range to top-end...... but it has more than enough torque to motor up any hill or dig through the loamy stuff......

on alot of the wooded/rocky hilly trails we ride because the front end always wants to come up when you get in the gas (extra torque)
in first or 2nd gear....Is this a problem with the Z...My Warrior eats up his Raptor in the hilly trails and is alot less
"scary" of a ride.....Thanks for all the replies and keep them coming...I am getting real close to talking myself
into doing this...

Not a problem........
the z400 handles excellent.... the front end will stay planted unless you want otherwise. The Raptor 660 was tough to keep the front end planted when under hard acceleration. The Z tracks straight and is balanced perfectly.................
