thanks for the response, in reference to the warranty issue have any of you just "unhooked" your simple bolt on mods and gone back to stock in order to get it to the dealer for warranty work? im wondering if they can be detectives about this somehow and figure out if u used to have the lid off and a k&n , and a full exhaust with an efi controller? how would they prove it thou?

One other thing you might try is caring an extra spark plug and changing it out after riding hard. The spark plugs are long winded so you might want to keep your gloves on when changing out same. This might keep you from setting for 15 to 20 minutes. And this is only if its not an over heating problem.
