raptor wont start? Need help please....Odd problem
Ok i recently replaced my starter one way with an L&A designs one after thinking it had to be replaced. It ended up being the flywheel key and i replaced that and got it all put back together and i know everything was right. So i tried to start it but the battery was dead so i bump started it. It started and i hit the gas a few times to keep it going and when i hit the gas a third time it made a weird squealing noise like a car belt slipping and it shut off. i thought it was the timing chain but it was fine and the timing appeared to be correct when i removed the head cover. SO i put it all back together stumped. i checked for spark and i have spark and i dont know whats wrong. Oddly when i took off the airbox cover i started cranking the motor and i put my hand over 1 of the 2 intake holes to make sure i was getting suction and it started but shut off again...and if i did it just right i could start it again by covering one hole but it would run only for a second. I also noticed that air was blowing out of the exhaust like normal but when i put my hand over it it would also suck in. I cleaned out the carbs and everything appears normal. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated i have no idea what to do!!!!!!!!!

What was wrong with the flywheel key, was the crank groove that the flywheel key goes in or the flywheel itself damaged. Are you sure you got that flywheel on and the key in there good because you said that it squealed when you hit the gas mabye the flywheel started spinning on the shaft and that was what squealed. Your valve timing would still be correct if this happened because the chain is on a gear behind the flywheel but it wouldnt fire at the correct time or run if the flywheel moved because your spark timing would be off. It might run for a second if the flywheel moves and then die when it moves again, or sometimes when spark timing is off an engine will try to start and get going then die. Thats the only thing I can come up with.
