Default 01 Blaster with problems! HELP

ok first of all i replaced the top end and rebuilt the carb. the t.o.r.s., whenever it is plugged in the bike will idle uncontollably, without it plugged in it will run but the throttle is real touchy and whenever you get going it will cut out, like its missing a beat but it will keep going. oh and it wont start or run without the choke pulled. please help. and the baffle came out and since that happend it has been backfiring really bad. please help with anythin you can.

Default 01 Blaster with problems! HELP

Welcome to the forums. I didnt think blasters had the tors system, only the banshee did. So i would leave it plugged in. It sounds like you might of put the black piston with the needle jet in wrong. I did the same thing when i put my friends blaster back together. They is a small notch inside the throttle controller and you have to line that up with the small ball that sticks out inside of if.

Yeah it does have tors so check that or get a tors eliminator kit from vito's. JLsparky is probably right, it sounds like you put the carb slide in backwards so check that out too. And you don't need to rejet for a silencer and K&N although, it may make a difference. Also check the reeds as they might be cracked and it could be blowing exhaust back through the carb. If this is the problem and you need new reeds, get boysen power reeds, they made a huge difference in throttle response for my blaster and banshee.

I don't think it would, but i could be wrong. I'm a little confused by your description, if you'll describe what it's doing in a little more detail, I'll try to help you as best as I can.

Default 01 Blaster with problems! HELP

well when i kick it over with it plugged in it idles ok at first then when i rev it a little it just revs really really high and i have to turn it off. without it plugged in it wont idle at all but it doesnt go crazy i can actually control the throttle, but its real touchy. i am gonna buy that kit to get rid of the t.o.r.s. and the oil injection block off. and do i need to have a baffle?

Take your air filter system off and look into the carb and verify that your slide is coming all the way down. If it is and you rev it and let go of the throttle and it still revs you have a intake leak of some kind .
