I am looking at putting 27" Itp xtr tires with 14" rims on a stock Grizz. Anyone else done this? Is there enough room for these? Will I need a lift or wheel spacers? Also, what about the power, will it affect it big or just a little? What about stability I've heard that the 14" package will greatly increase stability (true not true)? Any help on this subject is greatly appreciated..!!
Thanks,

I have 27's on 12" rims on my grizzly. They are more stable then stock, mainly because of the offset in the rims.
There is no problem turning them, there is a difference from stock. I installed kodiak 400 clutch weights and this helped make up for the loss of low end.

Witti thanks for the info. I keep going back and forth between the 12" and 14" rims. I've heard because of the low profile tire on the 14"s that it does wonders for the stability. However if your 27"s on 12"s work fine I may have to take a look at them.. What kind of tires do you have, I was looking at the Itp Xtr radials.

The 14's might be more stable, less tire flex. No matter what it wont be like a sport quad.
I have ITP blackwaters, not that good of a tire IMO. The rears are 12" wide, fronts are 9" wide.
With bigger/wider tires and offset rims you better be ready to get muddy. I hit a little puddle and Im instantly covered in mud. Its fine if Im out to get muddy, but it sucks if Im on a quick ride behind my house. Im looking at new tires, thinking about getting some 26/10/12 all the way around to put on my stock rims. Im going to try and keep them under the fenders.
