Can't gloss over this one......you were probably in diapers when I was riding a Warrior, and it was by far the worst machine I ever owned. It is dead solid reliable, but it handled like it was way bigger and heavier than it actually was. Kind of a big clunker with bad ergonomics. Absolutely terrible on nasty technical terrain, but maybe acceptable if all you want to do is casual cruising. I would pick any one of the other machines I have owned, over the Warrior any day.

With the 6 speed tranny and a little motor breathing, the Warrior is pretty quick for an air cooled 350. Its status has been dropping ever since the intro of the 400EX in '99 though, even lower with so many newer, faster models out currently. The resale has basically fallen out from under the Warrior now, especially since you can find a decent early model 400EX for $2500, needing TLC, even less. If money is an issue, the 400EX is a decent upgrade in power, suspension, and handling over a Warrior for not much more mulah. If you buy the Warrior, you will still have a ton of fun on it, they really are decent quads. Now getting any money back out of the investment on the other hand is doubtfull.

It makes for an awsome starter machine and if you ride trials you'll be right at home on it. It's a very comfortable machine, it's not the fastest one out there but it has decent potential (also quite the hill climber). Warriors are known to be very reliable so take care of it and it will take good care of you.
