Default Raptor 700R Questions

I rode a Raptor 700 last weekend and loved it. I'm trying to decide which 07' model to get. If I get the one with the piggy back shocks will it be stiffer then the 06'? What type of aftermarket pipe should I get? If you put aftermarket pipes on does it void the warranty? I've always bought used machines so I don't know.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

SAL

The 07 with the reservoir shocks will probally ride a little stiffer but handle better.

Pipes are more personal prefernece than anything IMO. If you stay with top brand companies and pick something you like you will be happy.

Well Im not sure if a pipe will void your warranty or not but a FI controller does void your warranty and I wouldnt put a pipe on with out one. So in that way yes it will lol

Just talk to your dealer, mine said if I had any issues just take the FI controller off when I brought it in but my warranty is about up anyway.

Thanks bberck! Yeah I guess if I have any problems I'll just take the aftermarket parts off. From the threads I've read it looks like the PC III controller is the way too go. bberck if you could switch your shocks for free would you? What type of riding do you do? I mainly trail ride and hit the coal hills.

I have no complaints with the stock shocks they handle pretty well. I dont do to big of jumps but I would still upgrade my shocks. Ive been watchin ebay but havent seen an go cheap in awhile. If I was to get a new quad it would be the 07 SE Raptor with the better shocks.

We mainly trail ride also.

I had yfz shocks on the front of mine and they did pretty good but I just upgraded to houser +2.5 Long Travel slicast arms with Fox Float Evol front shocks and an elka elite rear. If anybody needs the yfz fronts or the stock rear I am going to list them on ebay in a week or two. I have already sold my stock 700R shocks on there and i got $91 bucks for them. I will also be listing the a-arms also. The yfz shocks will also be coming with a set of QUAD magazine shock covers.
