What do you have to do to remove the tors system? I cut the bottom wires on the throttle controlers (part on top of the carb) and cut the switch inside the box of the the thumb throttle. Is that right?

To properly remove the TORS system you will need a new throttle cable, new carb tops, and an idler screw kit. Simply remove the carb tops, disconnect the slides from the cable, and remove the cable from the thumb/twist throttle assembly. Now remove the carbs and install the idler screw kit, there should be instructions and its hard to explain without pictures where to drill the hole. Next, install new carb tops and the old slides onto the new cable, making sure you put the correct slide on the correct side ( the notch on the side of the slide goes out and the crescent shape bottom goes to the back). Screw tops onto carbs route cable and connect to thumb.twist. Now fire the bike and adjust your idle with the new screws. You can also remove the black box mounted on the front left under the radiator as it is no longer needed.

Alright, thank you. I dont have the kit, so will the quad still run if i just disconnect the cables to the top of the carbs and disconnect the cable going to the box on the thumb throttle?

I think the idle kit is a twist throttle thing, not a TORS thing. Cause all the idle kits I see are for the twist throttle.

I believe the idle kit is required for either twist or pull throttles with TORS removed because with either system you will still be removing the carb tops with TORS apparatus.
