Best all around pipe for 2005 Raptor 350 SE?
Hey guys. I have an '05 Raptor 350 SE and I'm looking to give it a little more get up and go.. I race 8th Scale Nitro RC cars so I know that a nice pipe can really bring out the best in the engine. So, I have about $500 I'm willing to spend on one and I know pretty much nothing about ATV pipes. I know of Yoshimura and FMF, but thats about it. So if I'm looking for an all around performance gain, which should I get? A link or part number would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys.
Thanks guys.

ssoo just like that you decide to buy a $400 pipe...
just buy an hmf slipon for $200-$250(price varies where ever u go)
the headpipe is sufficient for any mod you want to do... but if u have/ want to spend the money then get a powerbomb header too... but it isn't needed...

^^^^^^Exactly what he said ^^^^^^^
$425 for an exhaust for a stock Raptor 350 is insane. A slip on in the $200-$250 will give you the same power, such as an HMF and the stock header on the Raptor 350 is actually really good.
Save the $200 and spend it on a better clamp on filter system and jetting. Go to Yamaha's home page, go to the Raptor 350 and then accessories and look at the clamp on high flow filter, billet adapter and prefilter for an example of a clamp on system. K&N and Uni also make a set up like these.

Anyways.. What does "Slip on" mean? Does it mean the pipe slips straight on to the stock header? Does FMF make a pipe for the Raptor 350 in the $225-$250 range? Sorry that I'm such a noob when it comes to aftermarket ATV parts, but we all have to start somewhere..

Yes, a slip on slips onto the stock header. Look about where your leg would touch the bike when sitting on it. Behind the exhaust heat shield you can see the clamp where the slip on clamps onto the stock header.
Nothing wrong with the one you picked out, but keep looking there are better prices than that out there. For example Rockymountainatv.com has that same one for $249.99 with free shipping.
When you get your filter, make sure it is not a drop-in like the stock one is. Several guys on here can tell you horrer stories of the sponge ends on the drop in style filters getting sucked into the carb, plus they do not seal very well at all.
