Only mandatory items are pipes, air box mods, and TORS removal kit. Toomey, FMF, and Pro Circuit all make great pipes. Stock air box holds filter in place with air box lid and can often let in dust plus air flow is restricted. Carb jetting is a real PITA with the stock air box and stock TORS set up. Stock carbs limit performance after you have opened exhaust and air box. I rec'm company in Portland, Ore. to set up your carbs properly with minor bore and their other trick carb mods. Then just learn to hang on.
Get familiar with BansheeHQ for the best air box and air filter set up for your specific needs and for jetting education. There is NO single air box set up for the Banshee that works best for all applications plus you run the chance of screwing up your motor with poor air filter choice and incorrect jetting.

Banshee owners remove the TORS set up because many electrical problems are actually problems with the TORS. So removal eliminates most sources of problems and bike is more reliable. The removal kit includes new carb tops that eliminates the TORS apparatus so now you need to drill and tap side of carb body and install throttle stops to set idle and synchronize the two carbs. With kit installed getting to the carb needles for fine tuning is much easier. So I would have to say what you did was not normal procedure but if it works then OK. You may eventually get tired of the extra jetting hassle or tracking down electrical issues. I just installed a 35 MM single carb which makes carb jetting a snap and eliminates need for synchronizing and gets rid of TORS all at the cost of a little power. I have way more power than I can use anyway. Many Banshee owners also want the clean custom appearance and extra wires and cables do not fit the image.

do you have any pics of the TORS modding you had to do or the single carb that you have? both sound cool and i might do them myself.

Here is info on Trinity 35 mm single carb kit that I have installed. http://www.trinityracing.com/product...sheecvkit.html
However I would never do this again now that I have learned about the improved performance and low price of the stock carb bore and set up from RB Designs in Portland, Ore. That is better way to go IMO. My Pro Taper KX High fat bars are now clear except for clutch on left side and twist throttle and brake on right. I also tossed the entire emergency brake control and cable. This requires a block off plate on rear caliper.
RB Designs will bore the stock carbs 2mm larger, install venturi divider plate on outlet, reshape slide cut out, clean up carb circuits, re jet for your pipe and air box mods, and install the idle stop screws as required for TORS removel. And all for much less than the single carb and adaptor from Trinity.
RB is very experienced with all the sand dune Banshees in Ore and Wash. They also are miracle workers with KDX motorcycle carbs.
