Spark problem

I bought a yamaha linhai 90cc for my kid it sparks for about 3 seconds of cranking then loses spark any ideas/.

Kinda sounds like your CDI is going out.

Sounds like thats the prob, However it seems like it would cut out completely if that were the prob
