Default YFZ suspension too stiff

Just bought a 04 YFZ and find the suspension too harsh. I don't use it to race or jump and mostly ride trails and fields. I softened up the preload as far as I could...softened up the compression and maxed out the rebound and it still bucks me of the seat when I hit bumps big or small. What are my options without buying new shocks?

THX

I would first try turning the rebound down (slower), that's the part that could be bucking you.

This is what I mean...rebound maxed out is maximum slow. Adjustment is all the way in minus 1 or 2 clicks. the springs seems to be too stiff. The suspension hardly travels when hitting bumps. I feel it would be much better if I weighed 250

Actually, adjust the springs and make them longer, but take all the stuff you turned in all the way and back it out just a little because youre not supposed to ever have it all the way in or out. When I say this i mean those screws you turned in for the compression and damping.

One option for the front that would actually make a little money is sell your front shocks on ebay and buy a set of Raptor 700 shocks. You can get a set of 700 shocks for next to nothing and get decent money for yours. This will soften up the front quite a bit. It will raise your front about a inch but should be albe to level it out with adjustments. This is a downgrade in suspention but might give you what you are looking for.

THX guys...I did make the springs as long as I could. And I did not bottom out the adjustments all the way. I left 2 or 3 clicks before bottoming out on comp. and rebnd. Do any of you YFZ owners find it stiff?
