Warrior, no spark, need help!!
#1
I have a 94 Warrior, rode it last week, ran fine, took it out today, no spark. Put in a new plug, still no spark. Checked the coil, coil is fine. Put it in another Yamaha bike, that bike started, tells me coil is good. Grounded my test light, put the probe on the hot wire going to coil, cranked it over, no spark. Tested the orange wire from the CDI, still no spark. Guess I need to check the stator next, but what wires am I checking? Anyone with suggestions? Lookng for advice. Thanks

make sure all the wiring is tight, i had the same problem. I went back and made sure all the connectors were tight and it started right up. Since then I electrical taped all the connectors and havnt had a problem since.

I decided to try pulling it down the street to see if I could jump it. One would think if there was no spark, it wouldn't jump, no spark means no spark, regardless if I'm hitting the starter button or jumping it. Well, sure enough, it started, don't ask me how or why, but it did. I turned it off and restarted a dozen times, no problem. Only thing I can think of is that when I was testing for voltage I unplugged all my connectors. Before I made the "tow of shame" down the road, I obviously put all the connections back together, I'm assuming that one of the connectors was loose or had dirt in it, and when I unplugged and replugged them back together it made a better connection and gave me voltage. I'm not certain though.

2005 Raptor, wow, not off to a good start with problems like that already are you? Did you try pulling it just out of curiosity? Found that trigger on Ebay huh? I might check on that too just to be safe, even if it's not the problem. My major concern is that I didn't "fix" anything. Kind of fixed itself. I'm not too comfortable with that on the trails. I'll check like ds650 said, thanks guys.
