Default Got the dyna fs

Well I got the Dyna fs for the 04 660 griz, I did not install it yet, I am jetted ,airred K&N , and piped. My quiestion is, I have done the reverse override mod per GRIZZHOPPERS schematics, will I be able to leave the mod hooked up or do I have to put it back to stock form before I hook up the dynatek ignition? I will try to find Grizzhopper on theYamaha site. If anyone knows for sure please let me know. Thanks.

Put it on I am a little dissapointed right now, I did not really feel any diff. in torque or speed. and at a high idle I get a popping.I put the stock cdi back in and it seem better and does not pop. Is it a bad dynatek? is it possible?

It could be. Call them up. I just heard the CDI does not make much if a difference on a grizz though.

Wish I knew that before I got the dynatek cdi, I inquired about it on this site , but got no knowing responses on how well it was on the Griz , maybe my pipe and jetting are the best power I can get out of it without going into the motor. I do think there should have been a noticable difference though.I will try to get a hold of them and have them check the unit to see if it is ok .

Ya I hear ya. If you don't already have these parts get the HMF utility pipe with quiet core, Dyno-jet kit, K&n filter and Mud buster cam. It really makes a differnce, But it will not make it a V-twin if you know what I mean.

Yes thats what I have except for the mud buster cam. My v twin 02 prairie did have more power than the Griz when both were in stock form. But not by much , and the ride on the griz was better. I did write Dynatek and told them of my problem with the cdi ,I am awiting response via e-mail.

Ya I got a Brute Force 750 and that machine is just an animal. Wheelies on demand that V-twin is a great engine. I'm having issues with my grizz wheeling. I have to bounce it up in high and I have a clutch kit and 27" mud bugs. I'm not sure what the deal is, But i'm not happy right now. It seems everyone I talk to says there Grizz will wheelie very easy with just sitting back on the seat.

You probably need to use a resistor spark plug.I think they recommend it.
Also, they suggest to up the jetting some also.

my 05 never whllied by sitting back on the seat had to pull on it pretty hard to get it up, my brute on the other hand the first day i got it home i thought "ah this won't have much more power" then pushed the throttle going up a slope and the front end raised right up. even with mudzillas on the front it pulls the tires off the ground
