Default Prayer Request

My wife and I know a girl at church that was pregnant until a few days
ago. She had a really hard pregnancy and they had to take the baby 3
weeks early. The baby is doing OK but, they are loosing April. We just
got off the phone and things are looking really bad she has some kind
of heart problem and severe swelling over her entire body. They aren’t
sure if she will make it. When she was conscious she asked to see her
baby, but her eyes were swollen shut. So we ask for your prayers as
many as you can give. Her name is April Davis.

I went to see April and Faith Elizabeth (the baby). Faith is in NIC unit but she is doing really well. http://family.webshots.com/album/554...X?vhost=family They are not sure when she will leave NICU. April is also doing well. Her swelling has gone down and she is in good sprits. She was talking and cracking jokes. She is ready to go home and hold her baby. They have discovered a problem with one of the valves in her heart. They think it may have been related to her swelling and when the swelling goes down they hope it will fix itself. The name for the swelling is Preeclampsia and it is very rare. The family says “thank you for your prayers and thoughts”. Life is precious and you only get one chance. Say a prayer for yourself too. Thank you

That is great to hear, im a firefighter/emt in michigan and Preeclampsia is very serious.

That baby is pink, big for being early, and has a full head of hair. The baby should be fine as long as it didnt suffer from cyanosis (lack of oxygenation to the cells). That might cause brain damage later on in the babys life.

Im not religious, but im glad the baby is ok and doing well. My heart goes out.

April is doing great they took her off oxygen last night and say she may go home this week. Her blood pressure is staying around 110/76 ish. Her swelling is continuing to go down. Faith has had the feeding tube removed. She is drinking mother’s milk and weighs 4 lbs. 15 oz. 18” long. She might be going home this week also. A new family brought together by the power of the great all mighty. Prayer, what a powerful thing it is.
