directions to make nerf bars fit with gyt-r skidplate:
there are holes on the side on the skid, big holes to smaller holes. you need to cut the front biggest hole perpedicular to the top flange in the center on the hole out. do the same for the next largest hole next to it. now you have to make one more cut to get that piece out of there! to do that you have to cut between both of the front holes at the middle of the holes making sure your cut betwqeen the holes is somewhat parallel to the top edge of the skid.
hope this helps

I just put on full PRMs (swing arm, frame, a-arms) including a summit front bumper and 6-pack grab bar and I can't be happier on how easy they were to install. With my broken arm it only took me about a half hour for all of it. The only concern I have is installing nerf bars with the bent up skids. PRM is coming out with nerfs in the spring. Hopefully they come up with something that is compatible with their skids.

I purchased the Graydon skid plates for the engine and swingarm along with the nerf bars. I'm very happy with the nerf bars but I'm not happy with either of the skid plates. It is hard to describe and to believe, but the swingarm skid has two forward facing scoops, one on either side of the center section, that are sure to hang up. It also does not wrap far enough around the brake rotor and rear sprocket. If you are riding over a rock and going slow you will slip off of the skid plate and bash into either the sprocket or the brake rotor.
The engine skid plate is not too bad but the bolt holes are not recessed so the bolts stick out. They use button head bolts on the rear which have rounded heads, but the front one isn't. Their ad braggs about the teflon tape which they add to eliminate vibration noise, but one side of mine came off and half melted when I spilt a little fuel on it changing the jets out.
The nerf bars are GREAT, but I wished I had gotten the Yamaha skid plates.
