Yamaha is putting this into a new snowmobile called the Phazer Mountain Lite, a star wars looking stunt sled. What a perfect quad engine for duning. From Yamaha's web site:

The Phazer Mountain Lite uses a new 2-cylinder 500cc engine for its performance. The engine package is based on the YZ250F™ engine. It’s actually two of them engineered together to become a new snowmobile engine. The Genesis 80FI is fuel injected, with a 5-valve head and makes its peak power at over 11,000 rpm.

 

we've been through this a few dozen times.... no gonna happen factory... however.. i wouldn't dought that you won't see it in a quad eventually..

 

I'd like to see that in an updated banshee frame.... That could be the replacement for the 2 stroke 350 shee.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
That would be SWEET!!! I'd like to see a reverse gear added too.

If you are going to put that motor in a Banshee, why don't you just put that motor in a farm tractor frame? JMO
