I have about 250kms on mine and have not experienced any problems so far, I have also checked on many forums and this is the first I've heard of this. I don't think this is a common problem and your dealership should look in to it more closely. Mine does'nt even get warm enough at slow speeds for the fan to come on, so overheating is not an issue there is something else wrong. I do feel a little heat from the engine but nothing out of the ordinary. I will post this topic on other forums and let you know if anyone has any fixxes for this.

The hot exhaust and boil gas is really really strange. Almost sounds like the air/fuel ratio is off significantly or something is plugged up in the muffler.

I'd sure be raising hell with the dealer and also contacting Yamaha and regester a complaint. You need to ask the dealer if he would feel comfortable riding around with boiling gas between his legs! This problem was happening a few years back and was soposed to be fixed. Again, if the dealer is no help contact Yamaha and docoment the problem. I had good luck with contacting yamaha with a problem and they followed through until it was taking care of. Please dont ask me the phone number cause I've misplaced it. I think I got it off this site. Maybe do a search for it.

Thanks, I'm going to give the dealer a chance to fix it and then I'll contact Yamaha if necessary.

I have not had any problems or heard of any either until this, this is very interesting. The fact that the gas is boiling is strange, but fwd? were you turning or anything when the throttle revved up on you because the throttle cable could be adjusted wrong on the top of the handlebar causing acceleration when your off the throttle.

this is the first I've heard of the boiling gas on the 07.... I did notice the plastic behind my left calf gets really hot... I'm definately going to look into getting that reflective heat tape. Hopefully that'll aleviate the issue. Sure glad I have a 5 year waranty...

I did have one incident where I was showing someone how the power steering worked. I turned the handlebars back and forth with the engine running and in high and the engine revved up and the ATV jumped forward. I could have been turning during the other incidents, I can't remember. The dealer is supposed to be checking the throttle adjustment. Maybe that will fix that problem.

Thanks for the comment.

that just sounded like the throttle cable wasn't setup right... I've seen that before where it was stretched over somethin and turning the handle bars was just like pushin the throttle itself.

I just got my 700 Grizz and mine don't hardly get hot enough to turn the fan on but I did have a couple of times when I was turning around and shifting from reverse to high and it stalled...? This happened probably 3 different times has anyone had this problem?
