hey guys, well i just signed up cause im goin to be picking up an ATV here within the month. ive researched many and came up with one that im going to get. but now heres the part i want some advice on.
im goin with the 2007 Yamaha Raptor 700
i was waiting for the SE to be released this month to pick that one up (by the way does anyone know the date its comming out)
well then i was reading that the GYTR Edition is comming out in December, well is there much diffrence? like i saw the price and there wasnt much diffrence, but is it one i should wait for or stick with the SE when it comes out this month.
1 more question, how well do they perform in the snow? i know they wouldnt be able to go through very deep snow, but are they still fun with some snow? cause i live in ny and the snow will be comming soon.
ive been wanting to get another atv, and the time has finally come (selling my rare sports car and will have some spare cash for the new toy)
anyways thanks for your time reading this and hopefully this forum is active

The way I understand it....the SE's will have upgraded shocks and you don't need that unless you ride pretty hard.....snow can tend to build ice in your front wheels and lock um' up.....happend to my buddy just backroad riding going about 55mph... but he was on a z400(same diff.)

Snow can be a riot on a sport quad, but it gets to be a lot of work once it piles up. Much over 6" and you better have a few buddies with 4x4's to break trail. The great thing about snow is you can pile it up to make jumps or make a flat track course to race around on. The 700R is a great quad, have fun with it!

I have had the 07 SE's since august, thats wierd, did your dealer tell you october? anyways, the raptor is a blast in light snow, under 3' with the stock tires, lots of guys around here(saskatchewan, canada) put sand paddles on there rappy's and yfz's for deep snow, and it actually works not too bad.
