I'm looking for a plastic skid plate for a 01 wolverine. Who makes them and where can I get one?

 

why do you want a plastic one?

 

less expensive, lighter, skid over obsticles better no loud clunking when you hit something.

 

Dennis Kirk has them....they work good.

 

Check out the Yamaha factory skid plate, it is thick UHMW,very tough and slick, and comes with a front aluminum bash plate to replace the black metal one, looks great, mine has been beaten up for years, with no problems at all. I also found a DG rear swing arm plate on ebay cheap, really covers the whole back end, and can take big hits. A arm guards are also a good idea, mine have saved me on many occassions.

highlifter has a sweet kit for the wolverine. its a full lenth aluminum skidplate. I bought the package wich also comes with a diamond plate bash guard and radiator guard. Looks pretty sweet. the skidplate itself is real high quality. Ive bashed so many rocks with it and other than a few scars ive never gotten hung up on anything because of it and its not that heavy. heres a pic of my quad cant see the plate that well but can see the diamondplate pieces.

shes dirty right there and ive had the plates since 2001 so they shine up nice if you take the time to. Mine have already taken a serious ammount of abuse

if you see below the picture in the middle there are a few little things you can click on. the icon with the little and bigger picture makes it full size you should be able to see the bottom skidplate better if you view the full size

 

Thanks, It looks like the skid plate is in two pieces. One covering the front diff and the other the engine.
I was hoping for just one piece to cover from the front to the back. If I can't find a plastic one then I will look at the highlifter.
