YFZ450 Broiler
#1
Am I the only one that is having his leg barbequed from my a YFZ450 pipe? The stock heat shield wasn't cutting it, so I took it off and wrapped the pipe with the heat wrap for exhaust headers. It doesn't work any better. This normal? Any ideas on how to get rid of this? I thought about the jet hot coating, but since the heat wrap didn't work, I'm not too crazy about dropping more money into the factory pipe. The quad is all stock....

Ya.....I think this is a fairly common problem on the YFZ......mine gets hot also i notice it while riding but its not so hot that it bothers me. ive heard some guys have had success with the header wrap.

yeah... they get very hot... it's just the way the engine was built... Get some riding boots... You can still wear shorts, and you don't have to worry about burning yer leg... (I've actually caught my jeans on fire before from it.)

Accelerate Slower??? Are you kidding??/ Have you ever ridden a Raptor? Thats where the 686 come into play, the Torque. Torque = Acceleration. Top end slower maybe. Want an MX feel, just replace the suspension....and get the boots. Safety first
