creased plastic
#1
Got a 2006 Wolverine and tipped over and creased the plastic on a ride this weekend. Someone was telling me you could heat the plastic to get the white crease to disappear. Anyone ever heard of this? If so, does it work and do you have directions on how to do this?
Thanks.
Thanks.

The yamaha plastics are notorious for creasing I haven't heard of this procedure before but it may be possible not quite sure...all of the blue and black yamahas I have seen have gotten creases thats were visible.

What you need is a heat gun, it's like a high powered hair dryer. You just use that to carefully heat up the plastics over the area with the stress marks, being very careful not to heat it up too much, because heat guns do get hot enough to melt or blister plastic if you don't take your time with this. Once the plastic starts getting hot enough the stress marks will blend back into the plastic. It may not disapppear 100%, but it won't be very noticable anymore.
