Grizzly 660 help
#1
I have a 2004 grizzly 660 it has not been ran hard in about a year. The only time it gets rode is a few times a month when my wife rides it. Well last week when she started it for some reason it wont stay running when it is idling you have to put it at half choke for it to stay running. Then when you drive it with no choke on it wants to cutoff.
My question is; what to I need to do it get it running right. I am not a mechanic and have not idea what it is. I was thinking maybe the carburetor is gummed up, but I don?t know. It only has 128 miles and 25 hours on it. I have no time to ride it anymore so I am getting ready to sell it. Any help would be much appreciated.

I would say the carb is gummed up and needs to be cleaned. You could try to run Sea foam through it but my guess is you will end up pulling the carb. If you don't feel comfortable doing the carb take it to someone who does.

It's more than just the pilot jet if you can not drive it above idle with out choke on. Hebs is right about it being a pain to get to. Like I said before, if you are not comfortable with doing it take it to a dealer or someone who can do the job right.

Oh Yeh Its a pain, Even when you have done it a couple of times it is still a pain .Removing all the plastic and tank. I shutter when its time to adjust the valves , But I can do it , I hate to pay someone, although there have been times when I should have paid the techs to do it . Like the Stator episode I had. Hondabuster was very helpful on that problem he gave me really good info.
