i just bought an 06 blaster it will jump if ur in gear just bring it to neutral. its between one and 2 and only put half way thats the easiet to get it there. then u need not use ur clutch to start it. and it starts faster

 

The only changes yamaha made to the blaster was in 03 when they added hydraulic brakes, so it would be better than your blaster. They are fun quads, but I would look for a 250r or lt250r there are some nice ones for sell for the price of a 06 Blaster.
