Default Problem with Blaster, alot of smoke.PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

i just rebuilt the top end on my buddies blaster. bored, new top end gaskets, new piston, rings, and so forth. even before it would smoke alot. i drained the old gas mixture (premix) and put in new reg. unleaded with Amsoil . 50:1 ratio. I meant to use premium but i was in a hurry. so after riding for a total of about 2 minutes, its still smoking alot. there may or may not still be old fuel in the carburetor but i figured that i used it all up my now. what do y'all think?

Did you use alot of oil in reassembly. Coat the cylinders walls, lube the low end bearings. The jetting difference between premix and injection isn't alot. The injection system adds oil at around 20 to 1. I would ride it a little more and see if it clears out. If it is smoking alot your probably getting enough oil. The worst case scenario is the crank seals are bad letting oil in the crankcase from the tranny.

if a bad seal is the problem, would i have to split the case to replace it? or just take the cover off?

You can change the seals by taking cover off. When you redid the topend did you check the clearance of the rod. I just wondering if the low end is wore out if seal maybe bad? How old is the blaster. This is just worst case scenario thinking though. Also here is a link to a service manual, it should show you how to remove the seal.

If it was smoking a lot before, then there may be a significant buildup of pre mix and crud left over in the exhaust system. It will take more than 2 minutes run time to burn all of this off. There is a good possibility that something else is wrong, but in this case it may be prudent to clean out the exhaust before going back into the engine.

my teacher told me to drain the trans oil, and start it up and keep it in neutral. this should tell me if its burning the trans oil. so i did it, and it looked about the same. therefore, not much of a difference. so im going to break it in a little bit and go from there.

did i measure the premix oil wrong? i didnt have a ratio cup or whatever its called, so i emptied out one of them small oil bottles that you just add to a gallon of gasoline. i filled it up with amsoil, not to the brim though bevasue i didnt want too much. but just right.. and then the gas can i have has ONE line that sais 1 imperial gallon. is that different than a U.S. gallon? i stopped about a centimeter below the line when i filled itwith gas.
