I would check your wiring, and check your kill switch and key switch as well as the key, other wise well your are strating it try giving it a little gas. What exactly did they do to the carbs?

the check to see if anything is loose wiring wise and make sure you have a ground...check the killswitch and key switch if you have a multimeter test for ohms or resistance on these things try disconnecting the 3 yellow wires that go from the rectifier to the stator and try cranking it over again if it works then you have a problem with the stator eithe not being assembled correctly or something
