Default raising the compression on banshee??

whats up guys i just put the cool head w/20cc domes bike runs good but doesnt feel better or even as good as the stock head w/the stock domes.the bike felt like it was pulling harder before.what could it be?? did i go to high on the compression or what. and the head feels real hot.what does raising the compression actually do in general and as far as performance what should i expect??

p.s. any help or advice will be appreciated. thanks..

What fuel are you running? Did you check your jetting?

That's true. You need to tell us what pipes you are running, advance on timing, air filter set up, elevation, ect. Have you done a compression check? It would have been very helpful if you would have done one before you did this mod, and then check it after to see just how much you have raised your compression. Stock compression is around 125-130psi at sea level. With 20cc domes, you should get around 165psi.

Default raising the compression on banshee??

I have cpi pipes,330 jets, stock air filter but took off the lid, noss head w/20cc domes on 93octane and stock timing. i bought some 110octane gas to see how it runs.i mixed it the same as 93octane 24-1 is that ok?? or should i mix it different. also could it be the stock clutch that its slipping once the powerband kicks in??

p.s. thanks for any help..

I mix my gas at 32:1 for all my 2 strokes, but 24:1 is ok too. Have you done a plug check? What clip position is the needle in? You might want to try dropping your mains down to a 310 and see if that helps. By raising the compression you will get more bottom end power, that is what this mod does. But you will not see any improvement in you top end power. For top end power, you will need port work.
I don't think it's your clutch. When the clutch slips, the engine will start to rev up but you don't feel any acceleration.

Thanks for the help, yeah enforcer seems to know a thing or two thanks alot.oh sweet banshee enforcer. i order the lock up clutch w/the smoke cover regardless because i like how it looks and to have done already but hopefully it helps, i rode the bike again and it seems to be pulling ok maybe its just me LOL. but it does feel like its reving and the engine sounds nice but not covering any ground at times or maybe im getting use to the power. thats not good im going to have to spend some more money but then again thats part of the hobby...i will probably order the deltav3 reeds soon.any suggestions on my next mod??
