banshee vs. 450r vs. yfz450
i was considering selling my banshee to buy a newer quad. i looked into buying either the trx450r or the yfz450, but i don't know how they match up against my banshee(look down for mods). I want a quad that i can do wheelies on and still have tons of power and acceleration. should i keep my banshee or sell it for which 450?

Im in the market for a another atv, im lost the last wheeler i had was a 350X i loved it the thing was a torque monster for it's era or newer? but it was on demand wheelie machine, high gear trail riding minimal shifting ive ridin with banshees, 250 racers(3&4wheel) ,1 quadzilla (built, racing fuel the works)MX bikes and all kinds also, i dont know what i want i love two stroke power so i was thinking banshee + theres loads of mods avalible or a older 250 racer but i have been looking at the new 450's they look potent i cant get a consistant opinion i think everybody thinks what they have is the fastest...but i can get a slightly used banshee quite reasonable(compared to a new 450r) how does ur banshee stand up to other wheelers honestly? im a power junkie(ego thing dono) the ltr250 was a blast but the 350x was a better trail machine plus it was lacking that 4th wheel!!! help me if u can!!!

As far as the yfz or the 450r they will both have a little better suspension than your Banshee for jumping and powerful. But it is definately a different power from your 2-stroke Banshee. The YFZ vs 450r is a Chevy vs Ford debate. Some will say YFZ some 450r. Go sit on them both and see which one tickles your fancy.

I just bought an '06 Banshee. I had the option to buy any of them, but I'm old school and like the 2-stroke sound, plus it's the last year in the U.S. for it. I also have a KXT 250 Tecate, so you can see where I'm coming from. I just bought a Grizzly 700 for my wife and the power plant is nice, so a Raptor maybe in the future. If I want more power from my Shee or Tecate I will mod them up. I'm sure the 450's are great quads, so none of your choices can be a poor decision (many Banshee owners have said the 450's are quicker, but I ride with ute's so I can't comment). I think my Banshee is slow in open space (down the street), but I have no open areas to ride. 4th gear is all I can hit in the swamps/woods and it feels plenty quick there. I put on a full exhaust system, with Elka sports, ITP rims/tires and other little asthetic goodies (headlight/shock/seat covers, bumper and handguards). All of those goodie have to add at least 5hp to my quad
If all you want to do is wheelie, you can shorten up the swingarm, change gearing or add power.
Good luck!
