Every automatic I ever rode had an annoying delay between when you hit the throttle and the power actually made it to the ground. Even if the response was instant like in a manual shift, the auto still takes the riding and some of the skill out of riding, at least for me.

Its not really a skill thing for me. I just like not having to shift all the time. The KFX def. does not have a lag, when you touch the gas the front end stands up right now. I agree, some auto quads have a lag, but I think the outy will be more like the kawi and just go. Again, im not going to bicker auto vs. manual, I love and have one of each, both are fun at certain times.

IMO- You CANT get a raptor to do what the Renegade will do. But the renegade, to a certain extent will do what the raptor does. Its not a race quad, but it will race. My buddies got a quick raptor 660 and race a friend with a 800 bomb with 27 laws on a sandy road and LOST! we were all surprised. the bombs got a dbeck and muffler.

Automatic much more fun on a IMO on very long trail rides and all day excursions. and very tunable.
