Default Raptor 80 restrictor plate

I bought a 2004 raptor 80 for my daughters christmas and read that they have a restrictor plate on them that can be removed. I removed the carborator and intake clear down to the head and did not see one. I am guessing that the previous owner removed it already? Does anyone know for sure where it was supposed to be located. I did not dissasemble the carborator.

Thanks,
Mud

It is in the airbox. Take the front cover off, pop open the lid and if it is installed it will be under the air filter. The thing that sucks about the design of the air box is that the opening for air is in the top of the fender well. My son floods his out from time to time. Get aquainted with the location of the drain for the air box. It will save you alot of greif!

Yea, It's behind the filter. I'll bet the other owner has already removed it causes it's really a dog with it in.

Default Raptor 80 restrictor plate

Thanks guys,
I could not believe the bike would even run after finding the restrictor plate. One above and one below my air filter. The filter is about a 6x9 with three small holes drilled in some plasic covers that were no bigger than the size of an eraser on a pencil. How air got thru them to let the bike breath is beside me. One thing is for sure, it is no longer installed. Haven't tried it out yet I had to put the battery on charge. I appreciate the info this bike is new to me I have always owned Hondas and Kawasaki's.

Thanks again,
Mud
