Default Grizzly rear leaking

I replaced the seal in the right side of the rear differential on my Grizzly about 300 miles ago and it has started to leak again. Does anyone have any idea what would cause this or had a similar problem?

maybe the seal was damaged when being put in. This has happened to me on vehicles and after I put another seal in, the problem was fixed. did you check the soft part of the to see if there was any prior damage. another thing to be careful about is if any dirt or sand particles get on the seal, either the outer hard part, or the inner soft part, that can cause a leak. if that's not it, then sorry I can't help you.

A lot of our kodiaks leak also. I've checked the fluid level all the time and it shows no lose. It just enough to collect dust. I'd just keep an eye on it.

This seems to be a good sized leak but I haven't had a chance to give a good look. It had a puddle of oil under the rear like the first time and I am going to take off the skid plate and check it real good. I don,t remember having any problems with putting the new seal in the first time but if it is real low I will replace it again and be more careful this time.

I got it apart the other day and it is leaking pretty badly. I am going to replace the seal again and check the vent tube to make sure it is not plugged. The manual calls for 8oz of fluid but someone else said to fill the differential until the oil comes back out the fill hole. This is at least 2-3 more oz. of oil. I am hoping that the overfill caused the seal to go bad or the vent tube is clogged. If not then I will have to bring the quad to the stealer to have it checked out

as a mechanic, on most vehicles you do fill the differential until it is level with the fill hole, but if the manual says to fill it with less, than you should listen to the manual. I also hope that was the problem, cause it's nice to find out it was something simple and nothing major.

I went to the dealer today to get the new seal and the service guy thought the axle may be popping in and out. He sold me Gorrrila clips for a buck each and I will put them in during the rebuild. He also said that there is a bolt on the left side of the differential that when removed will allow oil out when it is full. Going to take care of it today and I will update
