WHAT KIND OF TOOLS DO YOU GUYS TAKE WITH YOU TO THE TRAILS?

There is a good thread over on the utility forum on this subject. It has some good ideas on what to bring on the trails, tools, spare gear, and safety equipment, etc. I think it is on page 7, under "must have things on a trail ride."

Default trail equipment

Swiss army knife will work wonders,Fix-A-Flat,tire plugs,pliers,flathead screwdriver,tow rope and a cell phone. Or if you have a friend like mine named "Tacklebox",he brings a flashlight,matches,air compressor,a 150 piece Craftsman tool set,wire strippers,wire crimp-on ends,a .45 Smith & Wesson....You can never be too prepared!

A Leatherman (many tools in one), stock tool kit, couple extra spark plugs, mini mag lite, cell phone.

as far as in the truck i take my 155pc craftsman tool set, misc sockets, screwdrivers, misc parts, plugs, gas essentially my entire garage on wheels...

but i don't ride with any extra equipment on my quad.. not even the stock tools
