If you are having trouble with the stock hubs on an aftermarket axle, nothing will fix your problem except aftermarket rear hubs. The stock hubs will not stay tight on an aftermarket axle no matter how much loctite or torque you apply, aftermarket axles are harder and actually eat the stock hub material. Durablue makes a very nice set of inexpensive rear hubs with a steel insert, they will not wear out like aluminum hubs and they do stay tight.

Personally, I would not put any setscrews on any axle threads that weren't designed for setscrews, you will booger up the threads and possibly ruin the axle.

my axle/hub are both stock, yeah i decided against the nut with the set screw for that exact reason, it seems to be staying tight with just blue locktite and a pipe wrench/ pipe combination. thanks for the info on the durablue when i bend this axle ill keep it in mind!
